A simple (but not easy) tip for neck pain, and Season 2 launches!

Hello friends, happy January!  I hope 2022 is off to a great and healthy start for you.  I’ve been taking advantage of the dark/cold to dust off and organize my various bodywork resources (Myofascial Release, Abdominal, Yoga Teacher Training, Massage) and dive deeper into using oils to support relaxation and influence mood.  My current favorite is doTerra’s On Guard, I’ve been diffusing it daily at home.  Ask for my oil selection to be added to your next session!

One common complaint from clients is neck pain.  Many of our daily activities involve us reaching forward and looking down (phone, computer, cooking, etc), which puts a strain on our neck and shoulders.  A simple tip is to check in with your shoulders throughout the day – are you wearing “shoulder earrings”?  Drop them down and open, bringing your shoulder blades closer and your head back.  This relieves strain especially in the trapezius (that big muscle from neck to shoulder) and levator scapula (connects the top of our shoulder blade to the neck, the “shrugging” muscle).  Give it a try!  Some people like to set a phone reminder to go off each hour as they practice this tip.

Season 2 of the Wild Magic Harmony podcast is launching on January 21st!  Although I am sad not to have Deborah Fay by my side this season (she is working through some health issues), I’m very excited to be diving deep into all things Intuition this season.  Episode 1 covers the 3 basic types of intuition, and how I use it in my daily life to bring ease and self-confidence.  Check it out here.

Stay warm and healthy!
