Happy Five Year Anniversary, Harmony Integrative Bodywork!

Happy Five Year Anniversary Harmony Integrative Bodywork!

In special gratitude to my first Harmony Integrative Bodywork client, Chris G, I will be gifting her a free massage.  Thank you and congrats, Chris!

I cannot believe it’s been five years since I decided to go off on my own and open up my own place.  I remember how nervous/anxious I was – would I find enough clients to sustain my own practice?  Would my regulars follow me to unpredictable downtown Haverhill?  Was I crazy to focus more on myofascial release?

One of my mantras (which I serendipitously came up with during a MFR training in 2018) was “A sailboat cannot fulfill its purpose if it stays tied to the dock”.  As grateful as I was for my safe harbor, my energy and focus shifted enough that being on my own was the authentic choice.  I was no longer shy or embarrassed about sharing what I did, what I loved to do, who I wanted to help – instead of feeling like I had to “elevator pitch” myself and be an imposition, I discovered that just by sharing my passion and joy in my work, I attracted the clients I wanted.  I could be an introvert and still be an entrepreneur, a successful business owner.  Of course, if I had any idea of what was ahead of me the next year (2020), I would probably never have left the safety of the dock!

I’m so grateful to my friends and family who supported me, believed in me, tested out my table and bodywork as I refined my approach, clarifying what I wanted Harmony Integrative Bodywork to be.  To embody the compassion and empowerment for my clients into my space, my offerings.

I’m even more grateful to my clients, especially my regulars (and my every-once-in-awhile clients too, it’s always great to see you whenever you can make it!).  I appreciate all of the support, feedback, and loyalty you have shown me during these past 5 (plus) years.  I appreciate the referrals, the word of mouth sharing, bringing me more of the same wonderful folks looking for relief and relaxation.  I especially appreciate all the things I’ve learned *from* you, and am thrilled when you progress towards your goals.

While I don’t know what the next 5 years will bring, I can be confident that if my little business can survive a global pandemic, I can do anything!
